Morata Hails Osimhen as One of World’s Top Three Strikers

Former Galatasaray striker Alvaro Morata has hailed Victor Osimhen as one of the three best strikers in world football and admitted he does not want the Nigerian to leave the Turkish giants.
Morata, who played alongside Osimhen during his spell at Galatasaray, was full of praise for the Super Eagles striker while speaking to Sporty TV after joining Spanish club Leganes.
‘Victor Osimhen is one of the top three strikers in the world. I don’t want him to leave Galatasaray. Galatasaray is a great club. I hope he is enjoying it there,’ Morata said.
The Spain international also revealed how enjoyable it was to play alongside Osimhen, particularly when he operated behind the Nigerian in attack.
‘I really enjoyed playing with Osimhen. When I played behind him, it was like saying, ‘Throw the ball into the void, I’ll score,’’ he added.
Morata spent only half a season with Galatasaray but helped the club win both the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup.
The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker scored seven goals and provided three assists in 16 appearances for the Istanbul club before his departure.
Osimhen, meanwhile, has established himself as one of Galatasaray’s most important players since joining the Turkish champions, with his pace, power and goalscoring ability making him a key figure in their attack.
