AC Milan Join Real Madrid, Everton, Napoli in Chukwueze transfer race

AC Milan have become the latest club to be linked with Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze after Spanish outlet, Marca reported the interest of LaLiga giants, Real Madrid and Premier League side, Everton in the Villarreal player.

Chukwueze was in the news at the weekend when his two goals condemned Real Madrid to a 3-2 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Calciomercato.it reports Tuesday that AC Milan have great interest in the Villarreal forward but will have to deal with a substantial amount if they are to sign him.

Chukwueze possesses an €80M release clause in his Villarreal contract which expires in June 2024.

The Nigerian, according to the Italian outlet, is unlikely to agree to a renewal as he has expressed interest in playing especially in the Premier League.

Napoli have also been linked with the player and the influence of his bossom friend, Victor Osimhen could prove decisive.

Chukwueze and Osimhen were teammates in the Nigerian team that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2015 with the Napoli player emerging the tournament’s top scorer.

The 23 year old has played 197 times for Villareal and has scored 37 goals and provided 31 assists.
