AC Milan set for decisive Chukwueze talks with Villarreal

It seems AC Milan are back for Samuel Chukwueze following reports on Tuesday by Italy’s top news outlet, Calciomercato that the Rossoneri are scheduled to meet with Villarreal on Wednesday to discuss the potential transfers of the 23 year old winger.

The Italian outfit had been rumoured to have ended their chase for the Nigerian who had his most productive season in Spain last term, netting 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 50 appearances for the Yellow Submarine.

But Calciomercato says the Nigerian is still of interest to the decision makers at San Siro.

Chukwueze is valued at around €35m by Villarreal and Milan would again need to negotiate for a reduction on that price.

On Wednesday, Milan’s representatives will meet with their Spanish counterparts to discuss the best course of action for the Nigerian.

Chukwueze has scored 37 times and provided 32 assists in 207 appearances since he signed his professional contract with the club in November 2018.
