Adebayor charges Eagles: Beat Tunisia For Me Your Countryman

Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor has charged the Super Eagles to soar higher than the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Sunday night’s first knockout round of the ongoing 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.

Adebayor whose parents are Yoruba, south west Nigeria but switched allegiance to Togo wants the team to win for their fellow countryman.

‘I want the Super Eagles to win for me. I am Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor, I am an omo Oba (a prince). My parents are originally from Nigeria and I am a Nigerian,’ said the world famous forward in a video that has gone viral.

In the video, a former Nigeria international, Daniel ‘Da Bull’ Amokachi also wants the Eagles to soar higher than the Tunisians to book their quarterfinal ticket.

The match will be the sixth clash between the two countries at AFCON with Nigeria winning five.

For Super Eagles interim coach Austin Eguavoen, it will be his second meeting with the Tunisians after defeating the Carthage Eagles in the first knockout round of the 2006 AFCON.
