AFCON 2025: Morocco Begin Preparations for Nigeria Semi-Final Tie

Morocco resumed training on Sunday as they prepare for their highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against Nigeria.
Head coach Walid Regragui is carefully managing player workloads as the host nation eyes a place in the final.
The semi-final is set for Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. local time.
Both teams advanced after convincing quarter-final victories: Morocco defeated Cameroon 2–0 in Rabat on Friday, while Nigeria overcame Algeria 2–0 in Marrakech on Saturday.
According to Moroccan media, Regragui divided his squad into two groups during Sunday’s session at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Players who did not start against Cameroon worked on technical drills on the pitch, while the starting XI followed an indoor recovery program to aid their physical readiness.
With the Atlas Lions chasing a historic final berth on home soil, Regragui’s tactical approach and squad rotation will be crucial against a Nigerian side brimming with confidence after eliminating Algeria.
