Arsenal Vs Leicester City: Gunners seeking to extend unbeaten home run in September to 13th year!

Arsenal will not only be seeking to extend their winning run against Wilfred Ndidi’s Leicester City to six in a row but also extend their unbeaten home run in September by another year.

The Gunners have won their last five Premier League games against Leicester, their joint-longest winning run against the Foxes in league history (also five between 1908-1914 and 1930-1932).

In fact, Leicester have won just one of their last 26 away league games at the Emirates and are winless in 10 away Premier League games since February 2023. The Foxes have won just two of their last 17 Premier League games in London, and none since November 2022.

Arsenal have also not lost a home Premier League game in September since 2012, going unbeaten in 18 such matches, and with this game their last in September, victory or draw will only extend that record till September 2025.

Arsenal players will also be looking to set new records on Saturday.

Bukayo Saka could become the first-ever player to assist a goal in each of his side’s first six games of a campaign in the competition while Gabriel Jesus could have his 10th goal involvement against the Foxes with the nine has had (7 goals and 2 assists) the most he has had against any team in the history of the competition.

Raheem Sterling could also make history if he scores after opening his Arsenal account in the 5-1 Carabao Cup defeat of Bolton during the week.

The former Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea player has scored a brace in his last two Premier League games against Leicester – one with Man City (December 2021) and one with Chelsea (August 2022).

If he scores a brace on Saturday, he will be the first to do with three different teams in Premier League history.
