Aston Villa Open Talks to Sign Chelsea Winger Garnacho

Aston Villa have opened talks with Chelsea over the signing of Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho as manager Unai Emery looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

Villa are exploring a loan deal for the 22-year-old, but Chelsea are insisting that any agreement must include a permanent transfer clause as they seek to part ways with the winger just a year after his arrival from Manchester United.

Chelsea are understood to value Garnacho at £42.7 million (€50 million) and are prepared to sanction his departure during the current transfer window.

The Argentina international struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge last season despite making 43 appearances in all competitions, prompting the Blues to make him available for transfer as negotiations with Aston Villa continue.
