Bang, Bang: Osimhen Fires Galatasaray to Super Lig Glory

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen delivered a stunning performance to fire Galatasaray to their fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title, scoring twice in the second half of a dramatic 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor at Rams Park on Saturday.

The visitors stunned the home crowd when Soner Dikmen struck in first-half added time, but Galatasaray responded after the break.

Mario Lemina equalized on 56 minutes, only for Antalyaspor to restore their lead six minutes later.

Needing a win to seal the championship with one game to spare, Galatasaray turned to their talisman.

Osimhen struck on 66 minutes to level the score, before netting again twenty minutes later to put the Yellow and Reds ahead. Kaan Ayhan added a fourth in stoppage time, sparking wild celebrations despite rivals Fenerbahce winning 3-0 at Konyaspor to remain four points behind.

Osimhen has now scored 15 goals in 23 appearances this season, one more than teammate Mauro Icardi, and is on course to finish as Galatasaray’s top scorer for the second straight campaign.

The triumph marks Osimhen’s second league title in Turkey and further cements his status as one of the club’s most decisive players.
