Barcelona have completed the signing of Adama Traore on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.
The LaLiga side announced this on its official website Saturday evening.
”FC Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Adama Traoré until 30 June 2022. The blaugranes will pay the player’s wages and there is an option to make the deal permanent’, the club announced and revealed the 26 year old will be unveiled on Wednesday.
”The presentation of Adama Traoré as a new FC Barcelona player will be on Wednesday 2 February behind closed doors. The club will announce further details shortly.”
Traore was made in Barcelona’s world famous La Masia. He featured 63 times and scored eight goals for Barcelona B team across two seasons between 2013 and 2015. He featured five times for the club in the UEFA Youth League.
He also featured four times for the Barcelona main team viz twice in the Copa Del Rey where he scored once and once in the LaLiga and UEFA Champions League before moving to England.
He first joined Aston Villa before moving to Middlesbrough. In 2018/19 he joined Wolves and featured 154 times for the club, scoring 11 goals.
