Besiktas tempt Odion Ighalo with €6m per year deal

Besiktas are working on a deal to land the signature of Odion Ighalo and reports emanating from Turkey suggest that the Turkish Super Lig side want the striker this summer.

Turkish giants, Besiktas are eager to lure former Manchester United loanee, Ighalo back to Europe, according to reports from Turkey and have even tempted him with a €6m per year wages.

Ighalo left fellow Saudi Arabian club, Al-Shabab for Al-Hilal in January after the former had refused to allow him to play for Nigeria at the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The forward has scored 28 goals in 39 games in all competitions this season and his ten goals in 11 matches for Al-Hilal have fired the side to the brink of the Premier League title.

Ighalo’s contract with Al-Hilal does not expire until next year and they are reportedly looking to hand the forward a new two-year deal but at his current salary of 5.4 million euros.

Ighalo, however, requested a salary increase which Al-Hilal rejected, allowing Besiktas to step in and according to Fotospor, they are willing to pay him a salary of 6m euros per year.
