Bursaspor President Makes Iheanacho Promise

Bursaspor president Enes Çelik has promised to continue attending the club’s pre-match meetings as long as Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho keeps scoring goals.

Çelik made the light-hearted remark after Iheanacho expressed his happiness at being part of the Turkish club and thanked the president and other supporters for their encouragement.

‘I’m very happy to be here. I am very happy to spend time with you. I think this happiness is reflected on the field and the way I play,’ Iheanacho said.

‘Thank you for being with us again. Seeing you here supporting us gives us more motivation.’

Responding to the striker’s remarks, Çelik said: ‘Let me promise to come as long as he continues to score goals.’

The exchange took place at a pre-match meeting attended by head coach Mustafa Er and several Bursaspor players, where team unity and the club’s championship ambitions were discussed.
