Charlton warns Amusan and others with new 60m hurdles World record and World Indoor gold

Deyvnne Charlton has sent a message to World 100m hurdles record holder, Tobi Amusan and the other sprint hurdlers after breaking the World 60m hurdles record to claim her first World Indoor title. The Bahamian ran 7.65 to win the title and break the 7.67 world record last month at the Milrose Games in New York, USA.

Charlton has positioned herself as one of the athletes to beat in the event in the outdoor circuit and the Paris Olympics.

Amusan will however be seeking to extend her dominance over Charlton who has only managed to defeat the Nigerian twice in 22 clashes in the 100m hurdles.

The stage is thus set for an interesting outdoor season and the Paris Olympics as both Charlton and Amusan will be aiming to win their first Olympic 100m hurdles gold.
