Chukwueze targets second goal in nine games against Real Madrid

Seeks 20th LaLiga goal on 145th appearance in LaLiga

Samuel Chukwueze will be seeking to net his 20th LaLiga goal Saturday evening when he files out with Villarreal in their matchweek 28 fixture at Real Madrid.
The Nigerian has scored 19 goals in 144 appearances for Villarreal since he made his debut for the club in November 2018.

The 23 year old will also be seeking to equal his LaLiga goal record for a season if he scores on Saturday. His best goal return in a single LaLiga season
was the five in 26 games he netted in his first season (2018/19).

Chukwueze has netted once in eight appearances against Real Madrid across all competitions and the goal came in the 3-2 Copa Del Rey loss to the Los Blancos
in January.

A goal or an assist on Saturday will make it the first time Chukwueze will be having double figures in terms of goal involvement in a LaLiga season. He has
scored four times and provided five assists in 26 games in the competition so far this term.

Chukwueze has scored 35 times and provided 31 assists in 196 games across all competitions for Villarreal.

This season, the Nigerian has featured 39 times across all competitions for his club. He has scored 11 goals and bagged 11 assists, his best goals
involvement in a single season in Spain.

For his incredible performances last month, the Nigerian was named among the nominees for LaLiga Santander’s March Player of the Month award.

He has kept up his brilliant run of form in his first game of April, leading his side towards a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad last week.
