Club Brugge ready to pay 10 million Euros for Onuachu
Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge are willing to pay up to 10 million Euros (£8.5million) to bring Paul Onuachu back to Belgium, according to Belgian publication Voetbalkrant.
Onuachu featured for KRC Genk in the Belgian Pro League before switching to England to join Premier League side, Southampton in January 2023 after scoring 85 times in 134 appearances across all competitions.
Another Belgian Pro League side, Club Brugge are now reportedly interested in a permanent January transfer for the 30-year-old.
Voetbalkrant reported that the Nigerian would be keen to leave Southamton when the window opens in January after spending last season on loan with Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor where he scored 17 goals in 25 games.
Trabzonspor are also keen on a permanent signing of the Nigerian but were scared away by Southampton’s huge asking price.
Another Super Lig club linked with the Nigerian is Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
Onuachu seems to be back to reckoning after making his first start of the season and first since May 2023 in Southampton’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool at Saint Mary’s stadium.
