Diomande and Semenyo Hit €90m, Osimhen Slips to 5th in Africa’s Top 10 Market Value Rankings

Africa’s footballing landscape has been reshaped following Transfermarkt’s June 2026 end-of-season market value update, with Ivory Coast’s Yan Diomande and Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo both hitting career-high valuations of €90m, while Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen has slipped to fifth place.

Diomande’s meteoric rise continues after a stellar Bundesliga campaign with RB Leipzig. The 19-year-old winger jumped from €75m in March to €90m, cementing his place as Africa’s most valuable player.

His pace, creativity and maturity have made him one of the continent’s brightest stars.

Semenyo has matched that valuation, climbing to €90m following his move to Manchester City. The 26-year-old Ghanaian forward’s versatility across attacking positions has elevated his profile, marking a career-high in his market value.

Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi remains steady at €80m, continuing to be a key figure for Paris Saint-Germain with his attacking runs and defensive reliability. Cameroon’s Bryan Mbeumo, now at Manchester United, dipped slightly from €80m to €75m but retains his place among the top five.

Osimhen, once Africa’s number one, has seen his valuation remain at €75m following his move to Galatasaray. Despite slipping to fifth, he remains Nigeria’s only representative in the top 10.

Further down the list, Senegal’s Iliman Ndiaye rose to €55m after impressing with Everton, while Cameroon’s Carlos Baleba also sits at €55m following his strong season with Brighton.

Egypt’s Omar Marmoush has dropped sharply from €60m to €50m, reflecting recent struggles despite his move to Manchester City. Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus also fell to €50m after injuries disrupted his season at Tottenham Hotspur.

Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, just 18, holds steady at €50m. The Lille midfielder is the youngest player in the top 10, his performances in Ligue 1 marking him as one of Africa’s brightest prospects.
