Ighalo targets second goal against Chelsea in seven games

Odion Ighalo will be seeking to score his second goal against Premier League side, Chelsea in seven games when his Saudi Arabia club, Al Hilal face the London Blues in the semifinal of the FIFA Club World Cup competition Wednesday.

Ighalo is hoping his side can shock Chelsea and scoring against a team he has featured most against in the Premier League can help that ambition.

The Super Eagles forward scored the second goal against Chelsea in Watford’s 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge in December 2015.

This Wednesday, Ighalo will also be seeking for his second win against Thomas Tuchel’s side after helping Manchester United to a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge in February 2020 albeit he was on the pitch for a few minutes after coming on as an 89th minute substitute.

Ighalo has scored 14 goals in 20 games in all competitions so far this year including the goal in the 6-1 defeat of Al-Jazira in the FIFA Club World Cup.
