Iheanacho guns for 180th EPL game, seeks first goal in 10 games vs Liverpool

Kelechi Iheanacho will not only be gunning for his first start since September but also his 180th Premier League appearance when his club, Leicester City face 19-time English champions Liverpool Friday night at Anfield for their 119th competitive clash.

Iheanacho will also be targetting his second league goal of the season in 12 appearances and first in 10 games across all competitions against Liverpool.

He has lost eight of the nine games he has featured in against Liverpool with seven of the losses coming in the Premier League while his only victory was also in the league.

The 26 year old has not started a game for the Foxes across all competitions since he made the starting line up early September at the Amex stadium where the Foxes were humiliated 5-2 by Brighton.

The Eagles star also scored his only goal of the season in the tie.

If he gets to play Friday night, it will be his 180th since he made his Premier League debut in August 2015.

If he starts, it will be his 71st in 180 games and if he is subbed on, it will be his 110th.

The Nigerian has scored 38 times and bagged 21 assists in 179 games.
