Incredible: Chelsea Fail to Score in Four Straight Defeats

Chelsea’s season plunged to new depths on Saturday as a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United condemned them to a fourth consecutive Premier League loss without scoring, their worst run in over 28 years.

Matheus Cunha’s strike just before half-time proved decisive at Stamford Bridge, completing United’s league double over the Blues for only the second time this century.

Despite hitting the woodwork twice and dominating large spells of the second half, Chelsea failed to find a breakthrough, extending a barren run that has seen them concede eight goals and score none across four matches.

The sequence: 0-1 against Newcastle, 0-3 at Everton, 0-3 against Manchester City, and now 0-1 to United, leaves Liam Rosenior’s side four points adrift of the top five and facing a major blow to their Champions League hopes.

United, meanwhile, showcased resilience despite a makeshift defence, with Bruno Fernandes again pivotal in creating Cunha’s winner.

Michael Carrick’s side now look firmly on course for Champions League qualification, while Chelsea’s campaign threatens to unravel completely.

The defeat marks a historic low for the Blues, whose inability to score has left supporters frustrated and their manager under mounting scrutiny.
