Joe Cole Urges Chelsea to Pursue Rashford Transfer

Former Chelsea forward Joe Cole has called on his old club to make a move for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, whose future at Old Trafford remains in doubt.
Barcelona have confirmed they will not activate the £26 million release clause in Rashford’s loan deal, leaving United still keen to offload the 28-year-old. Rashford himself is understood to be eager to end his time with the club.
Speaking to SunSport, Cole suggested Stamford Bridge could be the ideal destination for the England international.
‘Rashford ticks a lot of boxes, but you don’t want to spend a fortune on him, he’d do a good job for Chelsea,’ Cole said.
‘He needs to keep going, Marcus, he needs to keep his confidence up because he rebuilt himself at Barcelona, and there’s still another level for him to jump to. He’s someone Chelsea should inquire about, but it’ll depend on the deal.’
With United actively seeking buyers and Rashford open to a fresh challenge, Chelsea may now weigh up whether to pursue the forward as part of their summer transfer strategy.
