Jürgen Klopp ‘Open’ to Returning for Germany Job

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is reportedly open to returning to management with the German national team, following their shock elimination from the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Germany were knocked out in the Round of 32 on penalties against Paraguay, sparking speculation over the future of current coach Julian Nagelsmann.

While Nagelsmann remains in charge for now, pressure is mounting after what has been described as a dismal campaign.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Klopp, 59, would be willing to consider international management for the first time in his career.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool boss stepped away from coaching last summer, but has remained active as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer.

Klopp’s availability has fueled debate within the German Football Association (DFB), though any move would depend on Nagelsmann’s position and the federation’s willingness to make a change.
