Kvaratskhelia beats Osimhen to Serie A Player of the month award

Napoli left winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has beaten his teammate, Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to the Serie A Player of the month for March.

The Georgian has been named the Player of the Month by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) for his outstanding Serie A performances throughout the month.

Kvaratskhelia bagged two goals and provided an assist in the month under consideration.

One of the goals, the strike against Atalanta has been described by AIC described as splendid in its article about the award for the Georgian

‘That goal against Atalanta is another example of a goal with his signature all over it. It’s the work of an established artist whose style we’ve all been learning about.’

Interestingly, Osimhen provided the assist for his teammates’ ‘splendid’ goal.

Kvaratskhelia was also named the AIC Player of the Month for August at the start of the current campaign.
