Messi and Mbappe each aim for a World Cup treble in Sunday’s final

When the whistle is blown for the start of the final of the World Cup game between Argentina and France, the whole watching world will be keen to see the duo of Lionel Messi and Klyian Mbappe vying to win the World Cup and also the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball.
One of the duo can win all three or they are shared.
Only one of the two can become world champion. While it will be second in four years for Mbappe if France wins, it will be the first for Messi if Argentina triumphs.
The success of either depends on the success of their respective teams.
On an individual evel, both are battling it out to finish as the tournament’s top scorer with Messi having a slight advantage with five goals and three assists to the Mbappe’s five goals and two assists.
The Argentina would take the trophy for having provided one more assist than the French striker if they both fire blanks on Sunday.
Both are also in the running for the Golden Ball. They are the favorites to be named the best player of the tournament for their performances throughout.
