Napoli President tells Osimhen’s agent to consider Saudi Arabia option for the Nigerian

Tuesday’s edition of Repubblica, an Italian news outlet, says Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis has asked Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda not to shut the door on suitors from the Saudi Arabia Pro League as the lack of movement in the Nigerian’s transfer is delaying the club’s transfer activities.

Osimhen wants to move to Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint Germain after agreeing personal terms with the club but the Paris billionaires are not willing to pay the 130m release clause for the 25-year-old.

‘De Laurentiis, however, has asked the manager of the Nigerian striker, Roberto Calenda, to also examine the possibility of the Arab track,’ the newspaper reported on Tuesday.

It also revealed that Premier League side, Chelsea are the only team to have also submitted an expression of interest for the Nigerian while PSG has never officially shown up.

The newspaper reveals that PSG are waiting for the last days of the window and ‘hope to take Napoli by the throat in the last days of August, coming forward (with the support of Osimhen, who rejects Chelsea…) with a much lower offer than the 130 million clause.’
