Ndidi attracting Premier League interest after Leicester City relegation

Wilfred Ndidi will be one of several players to leave Leicester this summer. The Foxes were relegated on Sunday despite defeating West Ham 2-1 at home.

According to the Daily Mail, Ndidi will likely be sold by the club as he is said to be attracting a number of Premier League sides.

The Nigerian did not have a particularly good season and was subbed on eight times in 27 games, two more than he was in his first four seasons at the King
Power stadium.

Ndidi joined Leicester City in January 2017 from Belgian Pro League side, KRC Genk where he scored seven times in 83 appearances.

Since his switch to England, the 26 year old has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, winning the best tackler award twice in
2017/18 (138 tackles) and 2018/19 (143 tackles) seasons.

He has played 237 times across all competitions for the Foxes, scoring 11 times with seven of the goals netted in 192 Premier League appearances.

Ndidi has made 694 tackles, the most by a Nigerian in the history of the Premier League with 62% success rate.

He has made 390 interceptions, still the most by any Nigerian in competition hsitory.
