Ofili set for first 200m race since April, Nathaniel returns to 400m hurdles action at Holloway Pro Classic 2024

Reigning Nigeria 100m queen, Favour Ofili will compete in the 200m event on Friday at the Holloway Pro Classic 2024 at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

The 21 year old will be competing in the event for the first since she ran 22.34 into a -2.0m/s headwind on April 27 at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Ofili is registered for only the 200m event at the Olympics and the Nigerian record holder in the event, indoors and out, will be keen to make a statement about her intention when she makes her Olympics debut in Paris.

She holds a 21.96 lifetime best in the event and will be looking to go under 22 seconds again, over two years after she first did in Gainesville, Florida.

The Nigerian is also confirmed to run in the 100m, an event she has competed in 10 times this year.
