Ola Aina undergoing a medical to join Nottingham Forest
Super Eagles left back, Ola Aina is undergoing a medical in Spain with a view to joining Nothingham Forest on Friday.
The 26 year old former Chelsea player became a free agent at the start of the month after his contract with Serie A side, Torino expired on July 1,2023.
Aina, who featured 113 times for Torino and scored twice flew to Forest’s pre-season training camp near Valencia ahead of his free transfer move.
Aina who was born in Southwark, south London, has been earmarked for a left-sided role at the Premier League side.
The Nigerian came through the youth system at Chelsea, with loan spells at Hull City (46) and Torino, before joining the latter permanently in 2019.
The following year, he made a loan move to Fulham where he featured 33 times before returning to Italy.
Aina had been linked with West Ham last summer.
He featured just six times for Chelsea with three in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup and twice in the EFL (Carabao) Cup.
