Onojuvwevwo, Godbless set personal best, Nse Uko wins in 400m

Louisiana State University duo of Ella Onojuvwevwo and Tima Godbless ran personal best in the 200m event on day one of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic,
hosted by University of New Mexico on Friday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Ella Onojuvwevwo improved her personal best to 23.51 after running 23.91 at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas last month.

The time moved her to number 13 in the Nigerian all-time list, just behind Olympian Fatimat Yusuf (23.50).

Godbless, the reigning National Sports Festival champion in the 100m and 200m also ran a lifetime best of 23.78 in the 200m.

Meanwhile, Imaobong Nse Uko was the winner over the full lap at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Bob Devaney Sports Center
Indoor Track at the University of Nebraska.

In her 2024 open 400m season debut, the former world U20 400m champion picked up the first-place finish in 53.93 seconds.

Also at the same event, Nathaniel Ezekiel ran 47.03 to place third in the men’s 400m.
