Osimhen: Beating Juventus remains my most memorable experience
Victor Osimhen says Napoli’s incredible 5-1 annihilation of Juventus would remain his most memorable in football.
The Nigerian scored twice and provided an assist in the mauling last month at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and it was his third win in four appearances against the Bianconneri in the Serie A since he joined Napoli from Ligue 1 side, Lille in September 2020.
Osimhen was in superb form in that game and insists it is a memory that will live with him for a long time.
He told Italian news outlet Calciomercato: “The game with Juve was extraordinary, the performance was truly incredible. I believe that memory will remain with us forever”.
The 24 year made his debut against Juventus in the Serie A in February 2021 with a Lorenzo Insigne’s 31st minute penalty giving Napoli victory and all three points.
Osimhen started his second game on the bench in the 2-1 loss to their host at the Allianz Stadium in Turin with the Nigerian providing the assist for his side’s consolation goal.
He started the remaining two games he has featured in against the Serie A giants including January’s big win in Naples.
