Premier League: Ola Aina two yellow cards away from suspension

Ola Aina is two yellow cards away from suspension in the Premier League.

The Nigerian has received three yellow cards in his first three games for Nothingham Forest and will be suspended if he is cautioned against Manchester City on Saturday at the Etihad stadium and against visiting Brentford at the start of October.

Premier League rules say any player who earns five bookings from his side’s first 19 Premier League matches will have to serve a one-match ban in the same competition. Yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup.

Aina has earned six yellow cards in the 38 appearances he has made in the competition so far.

The 26 year old will be seeking for his first win in three appearances against Man City after losing home and away with Fulham in the 2020/21 season.

He will also be looking to make his third start against the champions.
