Rema to Perform at 2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony

Afrobeats sensation Rema has been confirmed as one of the headline performers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Los Angeles.
FIFA announced the star-studded lineup via Instagram, featuring Future, Katy Perry, Anitta, Tyla, LISA, and Rema.
The football body said the selection reflects the cultural diversity and global influence of the United States, which will co-host the tournament alongside Mexico and Canada.
‘The Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles, the world’s entertainment capital, represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become,’ FIFA stated.
The announcement comes days after Shakira revealed ‘Dai Dai’, the official theme song for the tournament, featuring Burna Boy.
The reggaetón-infused Afrobeats track celebrates resilience and inner strength, blending both artists’ signature styles.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, 2026, with the opening match at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
