Rivers United Break Into Africa’s Top 20
Pride of Rivers Rise to 18th in CAF 5-Year Club Rankings
Rivers United FC have climbed to 18th position in the latest Confederation of African Football (CAF) 5-Year Club Rankings, confirming their status as Nigeria’s highest-ranked club.
The CAF ranking measures performances in the Champions League and Confederation Cup over the past five seasons.
Rivers United’s consistent participation and competitiveness on the continental stage have propelled them into Africa’s top 20, making them the only Nigerian side to achieve that distinction.
‘This progression reflects the club’s consistent participation and competitiveness on the continent,’ said Charles Mayuku, Media Officer of Rivers United FC.
