Shearer: ‘You just get the chance this might be Arsenal’s time to win the Premier League’

England legend Alan Shearer believes this could be Arsenal time to return to Premier League glory after the Gunners came from 2-0 down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 with the winner coming with the last kick of the game.

Reiss Nelson’s stunning goal, left-footed from the edge of the box ensured Arsenal remain five points clear at the top with 12 games left to play and Premier League pundit, Shearer says this could be the Gunners’ year.

“That’s two of the last three games Arsenal have won with the last kick of the game. You just get the chance this might be Arsenal’s time. You just have to find a way. Bournemouth will be sick but to Arsenal’s credit they kept going, their substitutions made a difference and the character to come back again was superb.

‘The atmosphere in that stadium is bouncing,’ said Shearer who netted 260 goals and bagged 64 assists in 441 appearances to remain Premier League’s all-time top scorer.

Philip Billing gives Bournemouth the lead, scoring after 9.11 seconds for what turned out to be the second-fastest Premier League ever after Shane Long who scored for Southampton at Watford after just 7.69 seconds in the 2018/19 season.

From Joe Rothwell’s corner, Marcos Senesi nodded a brilliant header past Aaron Ramsdale in goal as the visitors doubled theur lead at the Emirates stadium 57 minutes.

Then followed Arsenal’s comeback, started by Thomas partey who halved the deficit five minutes later before susbstitute, Ben White came in to restore parity.

With the match heading for a draw and Arsnal dropping two crucial points, Nelson, also a substitute fired in the winner in the 97th minute.
