Leicester City Vs Southampton: Ndidi set for 202nd league start in England

If Wilfred Ndidi starts for Leicester City when they host Southampton in their crucial Sky Bet Championship game at the King Power stadium, it will be his 24th in 30 league games this season and 202nd since he made the switch to England from Belgium in January 2017.

The Nigerian started 178 times in the 192 appearances he made while in the Premier League and has made 23 so far in the second tier of English football.

Ndidi scored the Foxes’ opening goal in their 2-1 defeat of West Brom at the King Power stadium last weekend to bring his total haul to three in the competition, the most he has scored in a single league season since 2017.

His five assists are also the most he has provided in a single league season while his overall total of five goals and six assists across all competitions are also his most for a season.

The 27 year old has won seven of the 14 games he has played against the Saints and has scored twice.
