Super Eagles are most valuable national team in Africa, 13th in the world
The Super Eagles of Nigeria may not be top ranked team in Africa, that honour belongs to Morocco.
The Nigerians are not even in the top five highest ranked teams in Africa but are the most valuable team on the continent.
The Super Eagles are worth €339.90m according to the latest update by transfermarkt, over €40m more than Morocco (€299.90m) in second and Senegal is third
with a €236.00m valuation.
The Nigerians worth shot up geometrically due to Victor Osimhen’s valuation which moved up from €70m at the start of the year to €120m early this month.
The Super Eagles are also the 13th most valuable national team in the world.
England tops the list as the most valuable national team in the world (€1.21bn) followed by France (€1.18bn) and Portugal (€902m) in third.
Brazil is the first country outside Europe to be in the top 10 with a total valuation of €889.50m to stay in fourth while reigning world champion, Argentina
is sixth (€681m) with Germany (€772.5m) sandwiched between the two South America giants.
Two of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying group, Benin and Zimbabwe are also among the top 100 most valuable national teams.
Gernot Rohr’s Benin is worth €17.18m and are in 84th position while Zimbabwe has a squad value of €14.35m and are ranked 91st best.
