Unbeaten Adeshina Makes Sixth Career Bowerman Watch List Appearance

Temitope Adeshina of Texas Tech has once again been recognized among the nation’s elite, earning her sixth career spot on the prestigious Bowerman Women’s Watch List.
The Nigerian high jumper enters the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships undefeated this year, both indoors and outdoors, with national-leading clearances of 1.95m outdoors and 1.97m indoors.
That indoor mark secured her a second-straight NCAA DI Indoor title in March and tied her for No. 5 on the all-time collegiate indoor list.
Outdoors, she remains tied for No. 4 with her 1.97m clearance from last season.
Adeshina will compete in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13, where the final site action of the NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships will determine the season’s ultimate champions.
She joins nine other returners on the Watch List, including Jane Hedengren of BYU, Adaejah Hodge of Georgia, Sanu Jallow-Lockhart of Arkansas, Axelina Johansson of Nebraska, Doris Lemngole of Alabama, Hana Moll of Washington, Anthonett Nabwe of Minnesota, and Dejanea Oakley of Georgia.
The Bowerman, track and field’s highest individual honor, will be awarded in December at the USTFCCCA Convention in Grapevine, Texas.
