Villarreal tells AC Milan: Chukwueze is worth more than €25m

AC Milan have been told that they must show up with the right amount of money if they are to sign Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal.
Corriere dello Sport says Chukwueze is a concrete target for the right wing role after a season in which he amassed 13 goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances

across all competitions.
Villarreal want more than €30m to sell the Nigeria international, whereas Milan’s most recent offer was worth €25m and that was at least a useful bid to

begin the negotiations.
More is needed to convince the LaLiga side though. Their president Fernando Roig Alonso is reluctant to let a third star leave after Nicolas Jackson and Pau

Torres, sold respectively to Chelsea and Aston Villa.
In the meantime, he commented on Milan’s interest in Chukwueze with some humour which drew a mixed reaction.
‘I don’t know if Milan are interested in the player. But if the interest is the same as when they came for Mateo Musacchio, with Dr. Adriano Galliani at the

help, and they said they had no money, then let’s eat fideuà [typical dish of the Valencian community] and go home,’ he said.
It is a clear message for Milan: Villarreal want the right price for Chukwueze, without granting discounts. However, Milan are leveraging the fact that the

player wants to join and his deal runs out in June 2024.
