‘We will fight for each other, we will fight for Galatasaray,’ says Osimhen after inspiring club to a 3-2 defeat of Tottenham
Victor Osimhen scored twice in nine minutes to inspire his Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray to a 3-2 win over Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur in their Europa League match day four tie at the Rams stadium in Istanbul.
The Nigerian ensured his side inflicted on Tottenham their fourth defeat in 18 UEFA Europa League group and league-phase away matches and he promised the Yellow and Red will continue to fight to see that Galatasaray excel.
‘Tottenham was a very difficult opponent, congratulations to my team. I would also like to thank our fans. Of course, my 2 goals are important for me, but I hope Mauro’s injury is not serious.
‘It was important for us to win, even though Tottenham played well. We have to keep our momentum going. We will go one by one.
‘We will care about every competitor. We will show our quality. We will fight for each other. We will fight for Galatasaray,’ Osimhen told GSTV after the game.
Galatasaray have lost only two of their last 11 UEFA competition matches at home against English teams (W4 D5) and one of their last 16 Europa League group and league-phase games (W10 D5).
