Nwaiwu’s Value Explodes From €10m to €18m

Trabzonspor’s Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has emerged as the biggest market-value winner in the latest Transfermarkt update for the Turkish Süper Lig.

Nwaiwu’s estimated market value has soared from €10 million to €18 million, an €8 million increase that makes the 23-year-old centre-back the player with the biggest rise in the latest update.

The huge jump also means Nwaiwu’s current valuation is more than three times the €5.5 million Trabzonspor paid to sign him from Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.

Nigerian defender Nwaiwu has a contract with Trabzonspor until 2030, underlining the club’s long-term plans for the player.

His rising value comes after reported strong interest from the Premier League. Fulham reportedly offered €28 million for Nwaiwu, but Trabzonspor rejected the proposal during the summer transfer window.
