Wolves Reject Fiorentina Approach for Arokodare

Wolves have rejected an approach from Serie A club Fiorentina for Nigeria international striker Tolu Arokodare, with the Premier League side unwilling to sanction a transfer at this stage.

According to reports, Fiorentina submitted an offer for the forward as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.

However, Wolves turned down the proposal, leaving the Italian club to consider alternative options.

Fiorentina are looking to strengthen their attacking department for new head coach Fabio Grosso, with the club exploring several targets while awaiting developments regarding Luca Koleosho.

Arokodare has emerged as a player of interest for several clubs following his performances for Wolves and Nigeria.

However, completing a deal for the 2000-born forward appears challenging, with both the player’s situation and Wolves’ stance creating obstacles.

Turkish side Trabzonspor have also expressed interest in the striker and previously made an unsuccessful attempt to sign him.

Despite the growing interest, reports suggest Arokodare himself is not actively seeking a move away from Wolves at this point.

The Nigeria international’s reluctance to leave, combined with Wolves’ decision to reject Fiorentina’s proposal, means the Italian club may now have to focus on other attacking targets as they continue preparations for the upcoming campaign.
