Wolves Reject Trabzonspor’s Initial Offer for Arokodare

Trabzonspor have reportedly stepped up their search for a new striker ahead of the 2026/27 season, with Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare emerging as one of the club’s primary transfer targets.

According to reports in the Turkish media, the Süper Lig side submitted an initial proposal to sign Arokodare from Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

The offer was structured as a season-long loan with an option to make the move permanent for €20 million.

However, the proposal was reportedly rejected by the English club, which is unwilling to part with the striker for a fee below the €26 million it paid to secure his services.

The report adds that discussions between the two clubs remain ongoing, with negotiations now focused on increasing the value of the purchase option in an effort to reach an agreement.

Trabzonspor are said to be keen to reinforce their attacking options after already completing nine signings during the current transfer window.

The club views Arokodare as a key addition to strengthen its squad ahead of the new campaign.

The report also claims that Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu has spoken with his fellow Nigerian international about a potential move to Turkey and provided positive feedback regarding the club and the opportunity.

Arokodare made 43 appearances for Wolverhampton last season, registering seven goals and two assists across all competitions.

The 25-year-old is currently valued at around €20 million, although no official agreement has been announced and negotiations are reportedly continuing.
