Ejuke’s LaLiga top dribbler, dribbles more than Yamal, Vinicus and Mbappé!
Chidera Ejuke is the top dribbler in LaLiga after five games of the 2024/25 season.
According to LaLiga’s official website, the Sevilla player successfully dribbled his opponents more times than Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior have done individually as Real Madrid players or Lamine Yamal as a Barcelona player.
While the Nigerian has had 17 successful dribbles, Mbappé and Yamal are joint second with 16 while the trio of Vinicius, Bryan Gil of Girona and Real Valladolid CF’s Raul Moro are joint third with 13 successful dribbles each.
The most striking thing about these statistics is the difference in minutes that the three players have had compared to their results.
Ejuke has enjoyed 265 minutes on the pitch, so it could be said that every 15 minutes of play he has made a dribble.
In the case of Mbappé and Yammal, both have played all five LaLiga games playing 439 and 443 minutes respectively. Despite the numerous attempts they have had to dribble past their opponents, they have not managed to beat the Sevilla player’s figure.
Ejuke will be able to stay at the top of this standings if he performs well in Sevilla FC’s next match against Deportivo Alavés.
Little known Chrisantus Uche of Getafe and Sadiq Umar of Real Sociedad are joint 48th on the list with four successful dribbles each with Kelechi Iheanacho yet to successfully complete one.
