Osimhen: ‘I Want Lookman and Onyedika at Galatasaray’

Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen stole the spotlight after his side’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, not only with his performance but with a major transfer revelation.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Osimhen confirmed that he has been in talks with fellow Nigerian internationals Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika about joining him at the Turkish giants.
‘I would love for them to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world and play with us,’ Osimhen said, igniting speculation about Galatasaray’s next moves in the transfer market.
He explained that he had spoken to Onyedika during the Africa Cup of Nations and to Lookman during the World Cup Qualifiers, sharing his experiences of Galatasaray and its passionate fan base. ‘They will make their own decisions,’ he added, ‘but it would be very good for them to come.’
Osimhen praised both players, describing Onyedika as ‘a very good player’ and insisting that both men would strengthen Galatasaray’s squad.
‘They are both very good players. I am trying to convince them,’ he said, reinforcing his role not just as a striker but as an ambassador for the club.
Reflecting on the Atletico Madrid match itself, Osimhen expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance.
‘It’s a good feeling to be back. I miss the fans and everyone very much. We knew we would play against a strong opponent. I congratulate my teammates, we did a good job. We showed a good performance against a big team. Overall, I’m happy with our performance,’ he said.
