Osimhen Begs To Return Against Kasımpaşa, Targets Barcelona Clash

Victor Osimhen has reportedly told Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk that he wants to return to action as soon as possible after recovering from injury.

According to Turkish outlet Fotomaç, the Nigeria striker met with Buruk and expressed his desire to feature in Galatasaray’s Süper Lig clash against Kasımpaşa on October 9.

Osimhen is quoted as telling the coach: ‘I am ready. I want to play right away.’

He reportedly also asked to start against Kasımpaşa, saying: ‘I want to start in the starting 11 in the Kasımpaşa match. Let’s not waste time.’

The 27-year-old has been sidelined since sustaining an injury in Galatasaray’s match against Başakşehir.
Galatasaray’s medical team is reportedly targeting the Kasımpaşa fixture for his return, although his availability and involvement will depend on the medical reports and his recovery.

Fotomaç reports that Osimhen is not expected to start against Kasımpaşa even if he makes the squad.

The report adds that Galatasaray are planning for Osimhen to start their Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Osimhen has made four Süper Lig appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
