Osimhen’s €70m Clause Shuts Door on Juventus Dream

After Galatasaray’s dramatic elimination of Juventus in the Champions League, a striking transfer claim has surfaced.

Reports in Italy suggest Juventus are keen to sign Victor Osimhen, but a unique clause in his contract makes the move virtually impossible.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, when Napoli sold Osimhen to Galatasaray in the summer of 2025, they inserted a special penalty clause preventing his return to Italy for 24 months.

The clause stipulates that if Galatasaray sells Osimhen to Juventus or any other Italian club before September 1, 2027, they must pay Napoli a penalty fee, €70 million in the first year and €50 million in the second. Napoli also retains the right to 10% of any subsequent sale.

This extraordinary condition has made Juventus’ pursuit of the Nigerian striker highly complicated.

Beyond the penalty clause, Osimhen’s salary is another stumbling block. He earns €15 million net per year at Galatasaray, rising to €21 million with bonuses, a figure unmatched by any player currently in Serie A.
