Akor Adams struck his eighth goal of the LaLiga EA Sports season to help Sevilla secure a 2-1 victory over Atlético de Madrid, and the Nigerian forward expressed his delight at achieving the team’s objective.

‘All the energy of the club, the fans and the players has been transformed into a positive atmosphere for this match,’ Adams said afterwards. ‘We gave 100% and we achieved the objective, which was the three points.’

The striker also praised the support inside the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium: ‘The support from the fans has been incredible, it has given us great energy. We play for them and if we’re all like this we’re going to be happy every week.’

Adams explained his penalty kick, acknowledging that he had rehearsed it in training and had the confidence of his teammates.

‘They all played a good game, Manu and Agoumé in the middle, Castrín at the back and everyone else. We have all achieved the objective.’

Elsewhere in Sevilla’s squad, Chidera Ejuke was listed as an unused substitute, continuing his wait for a first league start since November 2025. Ademola Lookman featured as a second-half substitute, coming on in the 71st minute for Rayane Belaid.
