Diomande Breaks Bellingham’s Record with Goal and Assist for Real Madrid

Yan Diomande has made LaLiga history after becoming the youngest player under 20 to score and provide an assist in the same match for Real Madrid in the 21st century.

The Ivorian achieved the feat at 19 years and 338 days, breaking Jude Bellingham’s previous record of 20 years and 51 days.

Diomande scored and provided an assist as Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 4-1 in their LaLiga encounter on Sunday.

The teenager set up Arda Güler for Real Madrid’s goal in the 30th minute before getting on the scoresheet himself in the 82nd minute, with Aurélien Tchouaméni providing the assist.

Kylian Mbappé also scored twice, finding the net in the 37th and 63rd minutes, while Jude Bellingham supplied the assist for Mbappé’s first goal.

Sevilla’s Lucas Stassin scored in the 80th minute, but Diomande’s late strike helped seal the 4-1 victory for Real Madrid.

Bellingham had previously held the record after scoring and assisting in a LaLiga match at 20 years and 51 days. Diomande’s performance against Sevilla has now put him ahead of the England midfielder in the record books.
