Sevilla Coach Praises Akor Adams After Villarreal Heroics

Sevilla head coach Luis García has hailed Nigerian striker Akor Adams following his decisive performance in Wednesday night’s 3-2 victory over Villarreal CF.

Adams struck the match-winning goal in the second half, smashing home a powerful left-footed effort after a clever layoff from Djibril Sow inside the penalty area.

The goal secured three crucial points for Sevilla.

The Nigerian forward has now delivered four match-winning goals this season, having previously struck decisive efforts against Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Bilbao, and Espanyol.

His tally stands at 10 goals and four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions, making him one of Sevilla’s most consistent performers.

Speaking after the game, García was full of admiration for Adams’ impact and resilience:

‘Akor, now Akor again, is phenomenal,’ García said via Futbol Fantasy. ‘Maupay had a brutal job. Well, I hope I understand myself and, damn, what a tough guy and all. Maybe it’s not done yet. Until it’s done, I’m not going to relax for a second. Not a second.’
