Trabzonspor Begin Talks for Nigerian Striker Rafiu Durosinmi

Trabzonspor have officially opened transfer negotiations with Italian club Pisa for Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi, who has drawn comparisons to compatriot Paul Onuachu due to his tall stature and powerful physique.
The move signals the club’s intent to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.
According to reports from journalist Nicolo Schira, Trabzonspor have initiated talks with Pisa, who only signed Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen for €9 million during the winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old forward has quickly become a player of interest thanks to his physical presence and potential to develop into a dominant striker.
Durosinmi’s season statistics underline his promise. In the first half of the campaign with Viktoria Plzen, he featured in 18 league matches and scored seven goals.
After his move to Serie A, he appeared in 12 matches for Pisa, recording one goal and one assist. Across all competitions this season, Durosinmi has played 42 matches, contributing 14 goals and one assist.
Trabzonspor’s pursuit of Durosinmi has been framed as the search for a ‘Young Onuachu,’ reflecting the club’s desire to replicate the impact of the towering Nigerian forward who has impressed in European football.
