Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace: Arteta turns to Saka to help Gunners end four-game wait for a win

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta will be hoping Bukayo Saka finds his scoring touch again and add to his record in London derbies when Arsenal host Crystal Palace in a Premier League fixture at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

Saka has been involved in 15 goals in his last 18 Premier League London derbies, scoring six and assisting nine. Three of those came in Arsenal’s 4-1 win
over Crystal Palace last term.

The 22 year old has featured eight times against the Eagles and has won four times, drew thrice and lost just once.

He will be aiming to not only make it five wins in nine games but also add to the six goals and six assists he has provided in 19 appearances so far this season.

Saka has scored 37 times overall in 154 Premier League games since he made his debut in the competition on new year’s day in 2019 and will be looking to help the Gunners end their four-game wait for a win.

If he scores on Saturday, he will not only help Arsenal avoid matching a 30-year old unwanted record of losing three consecutive London derbies, he will also extend his lead as the Gunners’ top scorer so far this term.

Saka can also help Arsenal avoid matching another unwanted record.

Arteta’s men have lost their last three matches in all competitions, last losing four in a row in March 2018. They have not lost three in a row at home
without scoring since a run of four in 1908.
