Barcelona Extend Lead Over Real Madrid to 11 Points

Barcelona tightened their grip on the La Liga title race with a 2-0 victory over Getafe in the 33rd round of the season.

Goals from Fermin López just before halftime and Marcus Rashford midway through the second half sealed the win at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

The result lifts Barcelona to 85 points, while Getafe remain on 44. Crucially, the Catalan side now sit 11 points clear of Real Madrid, who dropped points this weekend.

With only five matches left, Barcelona could clinch the championship as early as next week. If they defeat Osasuna away and Real Madrid fail to beat Espanyol, the Blaugrana will be crowned champions with four games to spare.
